Tissot PRX Lug to Lug: Dimensions and Fit

Compare PRX sizes on your wrist

Keep your measurements on this device.

Example: 40 mm case width, 52 mm wrist.

Measure flat wrist width. Add your own rigid-span measurement if you have it.

Selected case versus wrist

Example: compare the 40 mm automatic case with a 52 mm wrist.

Enter both measurements for a geometric difference. No fit prediction is made.

Example wrist: 52 mm. Replace it with your own measurement.

Case length is not rigid bracelet span. Positive clearance alone does not establish comfort.

    How the size labels work

Case length divided by measured flat wrist width: up to 89% is “Fits by case size”, above 89% to 100% is “Borderline”, and above 100% is “Large”. These adapt the published 0.89 / 1.0 sizing conventions. Case width is shown separately. These labels describe the case, not comfort; the PRX bracelet can extend beyond it.

Tissot PRX lug to lug measurements can mean different things in different listings. Tissot publishes case length, but that is not automatically the span of the rigid bracelet parts. Use the exact reference and field name. The worksheet compares published PRX case dimensions with your measured flat wrist width. Its size labels are a starting point; check the full rigid bracelet span before choosing.

Do not infer rigid bracelet span from case width or wrist circumference. The two checked automatic references have published case dimensions, while their physical lug span and effective rigid span remain unknown in the manufacturer pages. If you measure your own watch, state the endpoints. A positive width difference means only that one measurement exceeds the other, not that the watch fits.

Our methodology separates published and measured facts

We copied the stated sizes from Tissot's current US pages. No physical watch was measured for this guide. The worksheet labels your own measured span as your data. It shows case-to-wrist ratios and smaller-case alternatives using the published sizing convention explained in the worksheet. The opening 52 mm wrist is a labelled example. A case-only label does not establish bracelet fit or comfort.

This is a limited comparison. Case length describes part of the watch head. It does not tell you where the bracelet first bends. A span you enter does not become a factory fact because the tool displays it. Keep the source beside each number.

Case length and rigid span answer different questions

Case width runs across the watch head. Case length is the maker's stated length field. On a bracelet with rigid end sections, the span that sits across your wrist can extend beyond the case itself. A conventional lug-to-lug measurement may still omit that extra rigid reach.

When reading a review, check the measurement method. Ask whether it includes the fixed end links and where the caliper tips sit. Two honest measurements can differ because they measure different endpoints. Do not average them into a single authoritative figure without resolving that difference.

Lug width is different again. It describes an attachment dimension, not the distance the watch reaches along the wrist. A short lug-width figure should never fill a missing lug-to-lug field. The reference code and the original field label belong beside every number you retain.

Measure flat wrist width without a circumference shortcut

Rest your hand in a normal position. Measure the usable width across the top of the wrist where the watch would sit. Keep the method consistent and record it as your own measurement. Do not tighten a tape around the wrist and divide the circumference by a fixed number to invent a flat width.

Next, measure the rigid span on the actual watch if you have it. Identify where the bracelet can first bend down on each side. Record which links or case edges you included. If you do not have a reliable measurement, leave the field blank. The worksheet will not replace it with case length.

Use millimeters for both entries. If you start in inches, use exactly 25.4 millimeters per inch. NIST gives that exact factor. Record the conversion and keep units the same in both fields. The form needs positive finite numbers; a blank stays unknown and a negative entry gives no result.

    Printable sizing worksheet

The result is flat wrist width - user-measured rigid span. For a fictional arithmetic check, 52 mm minus 48 mm gives 4 mm. Reversing those inputs gives -4 mm. Equal inputs give zero. These examples verify the arithmetic; they are not suggested wrist sizes or factory PRX measurements.

A positive result does not prove comfort. Wrist curvature, bracelet adjustment and clasp position still matter. A negative result is not a medical or wearability diagnosis. Treat the number as one geometric comparison, then try the watch or obtain return terms that let you assess it properly.

    FAQ

Is Tissot's case length the PRX lug-to-lug measurement?

Not automatically. Preserve the manufacturer's stated field name. The checked pages publish case length but do not establish physical lug span or the outer rigid bracelet span. Those need a clear measurement method. Do not rename the published case field to answer a different sizing question without evidence.

Can wrist circumference predict flat wrist width?

This worksheet does not make that conversion. Wrists with the same circumference can have different cross sections. Measure the usable top width directly and record your method. A circumference-only sizing rule would introduce an unsupported assumption and could make the result look more precise than the evidence allows.

What if I do not know the bracelet span?

Leave it blank. The source table remains useful, and the printable sheet gives you a place to record the measurement later. The tool does not substitute case length or zero. If you ask a seller for the span, request the exact reference and the endpoints used for the measurement.

Does a positive result mean the PRX will fit?

No. It only means the entered width is greater than the entered span. The calculation does not model wrist curvature or clasp position. Try the exact watch if possible, and check sizing and return terms. Keep a geometric difference separate from a personal comfort judgment.

Tissot PRX lug to lug verdict

For Tissot PRX lug to lug research, the field label matters as much as the number. Keep case length separate from rigid bracelet span. Use direct measurements and the worksheet as a limited check, then assess fit. The homepage buying framework covers the remaining purchase questions.
